And the Lord led me to read a post by another poster by the name of Dave M. And he was speaking on the subject of us hearing from God, not audibly, but in our spirits, in our minds, and in our hearts. And he spoke on the importance of what we are hearing, or think that we are hearing from God, that it must align with the Scriptures, and it must not be contrary to God’s Word. And he asked to hear from others to tell him their stories of when they know they heard from God. And the Lord led me to respond to him with the following:

Dave, I am 76 years old, and I am certain I started hearing from God from at least age 7 on up. At age 7 I was at church camp in Beulah Beach, Ohio, sitting on a hard bench in what was called “the tabernacle,” which was a covered outdoor building. And I was listening to the preacher preach and to give an invitation to repent of my sins and to believe in Jesus Christ, and to obey him. And I did cry out to God in repentance with a strong desire to obey him from that moment forward. But I had seen fake Christianity, and I wanted the real thing.

And my next big moment was (in my 20’s) when I switched from reading the KJV to reading the NASB, which had just come out. And all of a sudden God’s word was so clear to me (I have a reading comprehension difficulty so KJV was hard for me to understand). And God really began speaking to me in my spirit and leading me in what to do and to say, and I obeyed him.

And fast forward, back in 2004 I got possession of my grandmother’s journals (she died when I was 2). And when I began reading her journals I wept. I was so much like her in so many ways. I was not like most people in my family, but she and I heard from the Lord in the same ways, and we even used the same phrases, and had the same favorite verses. But she kept quoting this one thing (no reference) over and over, so I finally looked it up. It was from Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NIV):

“Then the Lord replied, ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.’”

This showed up several times from more than one source over a span of several weeks, I think. And then I was at a church workers conference, and the Lord was speaking to my heart through all the speakers, one by one. And one of them taught on Habakkuk 2:2-3. But the Lord was speaking directly to my heart through all that was being taught at this conference:

This is a summary of what I learned:

•	Preach the Word of God, not the teachings of man

•	Listen to God, hear what he is saying, and then obey him

•	Tell the people what God tells you to tell them and leave the results in his hands

•	What you are going to do, do it NOW

•	You were appointed by God as a herald and a teacher of true faith

•	God has given you a clear sense of his purpose for you and an urgency…

•	Fan into flame the gift(s) of God within you

•	Give your ministry over to God – it is not yours; it is his

•	God may have something else for you to do that you have not even thought of

•	Write down what God shows you and then wait on him to bring it about

•	Don’t ask God “why,” just trust him – stand firm, press on

•	What you are going through is much bigger than you can imagine

•	NOW is your time! – For such a time as this I was placed upon the earth…

•	Be a tree climber and get a closer look at the Supremacy of Jesus Christ

•	The Church is in crisis – the crisis of Supremacy

•	It is indistinguishable between the lives of evangelical Christians and the world

•	We need to get back to the basics – we need to put our focus on Jesus and the cross of Christ instead of on the teachings of man

A few months later the Lord began opening my mind and heart to so many things I did not know before, and he definitely used the Habakkuk passage of Scripture to call me to this ministry of writing down what I learn from him each day, in my times with him in his word, and to then post these writings on the internet so that a herald (the internet) would “run with it” (the title of my blog). And so that is what I have been doing faithfully ever since then.

For nearly 22 years, under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, in the power of God, I have been writing what the Lord teaches me each day, as best as I understand it, and I have been posting these writings on the internet. And God is taking these writings to people all over the world, in many nations. And this is not anything that I would have ever imagined that the Lord would be having me do with my life. So I hear from him every day, some days more strongly (powerfully) than others. And I believe he led me to read this poster’s post and to respond to his inquiry today with my story.

Hearing From God

An Original Work / April 12, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Taking Up Our Cross Daily

self-denial and obedience to God

Sue Love

“And He was saying to them all, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.’” (Luke 9:23-26 NASB1995)

The modern “gospel” says, “Come as you are.” “Bring all your filth with you.” “You don’t have to change.” “You don’t have to obey God.” “Just profess faith in Jesus Christ and now all your sins are forgiven and heaven is now your eternal destiny.” “God’s grace covers it all.” “And if you start to feel guilty for your addictive and sinful life patterns, just ‘claim who you are in Christ.’” But who we are in Christ is who we are in practice in surrender to the will of God in obedience to his commands, or we are not genuinely “in Christ.”

For Jesus Christ taught that if we want to come after him, we must deny self. We must deny and put to death with Christ the sinful passions of the flesh. We must deny all fleshly lusts and desires in order to follow Jesus with our lives. We must say “NO!” to the lusts and desires of the flesh, and we must now follow our Lord in obedience to his commands in holy living. We must be willing to let go of all worldly desires in order to surrender our lives over to the will of God for our lives. For this is the will of God for our lives.

And to take up our cross daily is to daily die to sin and to self, in the power of God, and to let God have his way in our lives. For when Jesus Christ died on that cross it was to put our sins to death with him so that by God-gifted and God-persuaded faith in him we will now die to sin and walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands – all in His power at work within us. And what Jesus went through in order to save us from our sins was very painful. So we should not expect this to be easy, but it can be done in God’s power.

And to follow Jesus is to obey him, to go where he sends us, and to do all that he commands us to do. And this isn’t just about denying self and dying to sin daily, but this is about doing the will of God for our lives. This is about answering his call to his service and to be willing to be used of him in the ways he has for us. So this is about saying what he gives us to say, and about writing and posting what he gives us to write. And it is being willing to be stretched and strengthened in areas not thought possible ever.

For example, when the Lord called me to this ministry, I had never done anything quite like this ever before. I had never written devotions and posted them on the internet before 2004, that I recall. I had never before written hundreds of songs and poems and posted them on the internet. I had never written Christian memes or done video talks and posted them on the internet. And I had never before shared publicly my testimony in such depth. All of this was of God and was/is done in the power of God, too.

So, following Jesus isn’t just about obeying his New Covenant commands and no longer living in sin. Following him involves every aspect of our lives in becoming and in doing who he has for us to be in doing what he has for us to do with our lives on a day to day basis, moment by moment. It involves us being in close communion with him, listening to his voice, and being willing to go where he sends us, to do what he has called us to do, and to say the things that he gives us to say to the people, for their good.

But please know what his word teaches as the gospel of our salvation. For if we hold on to living in sin, and if obedience to our Lord’s commands is not what we practice, we will not have salvation from sin, and we will not inherit eternal life with God, regardless of what our lips profess. For if we are ashamed of Jesus on this earth, and so we don’t obey him in practice, but we live for the flesh, instead, then when he returns, he will be ashamed of us and he will say, “Depart from me you workers of iniquity.” Believe him!

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

He Gives Purpose

An Original Work / June 9, 2012, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

“Listen to Me when I’m calling to you.

Obey freely My word.

Follow Me in all of My ways.

Do all that I say.

Hear Me gently whisper to you

My will for your life and future.

Give all of your life and heart to

Follow Me always.”

Repent of your sins and worship Jesus.

He’s your Lord and Master.

He died for your sins so you could

Live with Him today.

He has a plan for your life and

He gives purpose and direction.

He gives meaning to your life,

So follow Him today.

“I love you so much I gave My life for

You to walk in My ways,

Living for Me each day as you

Bow to Me and pray.

Witness for Me of your love for Me and

Of My grace and mercy,

How I died to save you of your

Sins now and always.”

Taking Up Our Cross Daily

An Original Work / April 12, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Abuse Survivor

Loving the sinner

Sue Love

I am going to share a little bit of my testimony here. My full name is Susan “Sue” Jane (Thorn) Love, born in Akron, Ohio (USA), December 31, 1949, the third child of my parents’ five children. My father was an abuser physically, verbally, mentally, emotionally, and sexually. He began the sexual abuse with me when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I feared him greatly. And I cried myself to sleep a lot. But I believed in Jesus at age 7, so I prayed a lot, too. And Jesus was my comforter and my helper through it all.

When I was age 15 I finally reported the abuse to my pastor, which was not my initial intention to speak with him on that subject, but it became my intention part way into the conversation when I realized that he was not going to help us. He asked me if my father forced me. I thought that an odd question since I told him the abuse began when I was very young.

Anyway, he spoke with my parents, and my dad committed himself to a mental hospital. But they let him out after 1.5 years with no council given to any of us children and no one asking us if that was okay with us. It wasn’t! And he did attempt to start it back up with me, but I told my mother, and she put a stop to it. But the mental, verbal, and emotional abuse continued.

I was not an outgoing child, and I had few friends. All through high school, not one boy asked me out on a date. But the first two boys to ask me out once I got to college were boys I went to high school with. But they were one date and that was it. And I went out on dates with a few other boys. And then I met the man I ended up marrying. He professed faith in Jesus Christ, and he even taught the Scriptures, so I thought he was a Christian.

We were married 8 years before I even had a hint that anything was wrong. And it was another 8 years before I had far more than just a hint that something was wrong. And that something began to multiply to the point to where I was talked into joining in with some of what he was doing, for a time. And the bottom line was and is that my husband is an addict to what is immoral and adulterous in the eyes of the Lord, and after nearly 54 years of marriage, he still keeps going back to his adulterous and idolatrous ways.

There was a time not too long ago when it got so bad between us that I was seriously considering leaving him. But both times that I was moving that direction the Lord put a stop to it, and he encouraged me to stay, and so I did. And I tried to get pastors to do something to move my husband in the right direction, but to no avail. They just recommended counseling, but that was no good. And support groups were not helpful, either. He always went back to his sexual addiction. But I still loved him, and I kept praying for him.

And here we are, still together after nearly 54 years of marriage, with him still dealing with the same addiction. And I still love him, and I care deeply about his salvation, and I know what the Scriptures teach on that subject, that if sin is what we practice, and not obedience to God, that we will not inherit eternal life with God. And sometimes we will talk about this, but he still goes back to the same old sins. And it hurts me that he keeps choosing his fix over God and our marriage. But I keep loving him and forgiving him.

Now, I have had people advise me to leave him, but the Bible does not say that. I have permission to do that, if I should choose to do that, but I don’t choose to do that. I still love him. I still care about him. And as long as he is willing to remain with me, and I am still alive, my plan is to remain with him until death us do part. And I am not pacifying him in his sin, but I can’t make him do what he ought to do, either. I pray for him a lot! And I am still holding out hope. So, if God leads you to do so, will you pray that he will finally surrender his life to the Lord and give up his sinful addiction?

Sincerely, Sue J Love

Christ’s Free Servant

So We Might Die To Sin

and live to righteousness

Sue Love

Speaking here of Jesus Christ: “And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24 NASB1995)

“Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation… (2 Peter 3:14-15 NASB1995)

“You, therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:17-18 NASB1995)

The message spoken in 1 Peter 2:24 is the message of the gospel of our salvation in a nutshell, i.e. all in one sentence. For Jesus Christ did not die on that cross just to save us from our sins so that when we die we get to go to heaven and not to hell. He didn’t die just to forgive us our sins, by his grace. The reason he died and rose from the dead was so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness in walks of obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in surrender to the will of God for our lives, all in his power.

And righteousness is what is deemed right in the eyes of God, what meets with his judicial approval, so it is what is holy, just, upright, morally pure, honest, faithful, and obedient to the Lord and to his commands, etc. And to be blameless is to be virtuous, righteous, and morally pure, no longer living in sin and in deliberate disobedience against God. And all of this is made possible for us via Jesus’ death and resurrection, and via his gift of grace to us in providing a way for us to die to sin and to obey our Lord, in practice.

And to be healed by his wounds is to be healed spiritually. It is to be reconciled to God, which means to properly and decisively change, to exchange our old lives of living in sin and for self for our new lives in Jesus Christ, surrendered to the will of God in walks of obedience to his commands. For Jesus said if anyone would come after him that he must deny self, take up his cross daily (die daily to sin and to self) and follow (obey) him in doing what he says we must do as his followers (disciples).

And our salvation, which is a gift from God, and not anything that any of us can earn in our own merit, is deliverance out of bondage (addiction) to sin so that we can serve our Lord in walks of obedience to his commands. And it is not a one time thing we do guaranteeing us heaven for eternity. Biblical salvation is progressive – we have been saved (past), we are being saved (present active) and we will be saved (future) when Christ returns, but provided that we are not living in sin and in disobedience to God in practice.

So, please understand here that not everyone professing faith in Jesus Christ is a follower of Jesus Christ. And not everyone professing to be teaching the truth of the gospel of Christ is teaching the truth. There are many of these “unprincipled men” (and some women) among us who are teaching lies which tickle itching ears. They are not teaching that by faith in Jesus we must die to sin and live to righteousness in obedience to our Lord’s commands, but they are giving people permission to keep on in their sins. So know what the Scriptures teach in context, and obey the Lord always.

[Matthew 7:21-23; Matthew 24:9-14; Luke 9:23-26; John 8:31-32; John 15:1-12; Romans 6:16; Romans 8:24; Romans 11:17-24; Romans 13:11; 1 Corinthians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15:1-2; Colossians 1:21-23; 2 Timothy 1:8-9; 2 Timothy 2:10-13; Hebrews 3:6,14-15; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 1:5,9; 2 Peter 1:5-11; 2 Peter 2:20-22; 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:3-6,24-25]

My Heart’s Desire

Based off Romans 10:1-21; Luke 9:23-26; Ephesians 4:17-24, An Original Work / June 29, 2013, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Loved Ones, Oh, my heart’s desire

Is that you might come to Jesus.

Many appear zealous for God,

But they do not trust in Him.

They have not submitted to the One

Who saved them from their sins;

Not forsaken their sins,

Nor have they obeyed their King.

The word of the Lord is near you:

The word of faith we’re proclaiming:

That you must confess your faith

In Jesus as your Lord and King:

Believe in Him as your Lord,

And follow Him where’er He leads.

Share the gospel; be a witness,

And meet others’ needs.

Beautiful are the feet of those

Who bring the good news of Jesus:

Anyone who would come to Him

Must deny himself today;

Die to sin and self, and

Let the Spirit transform you in heart;

Put on your new self in Jesus,

Yielding to the cross.

Video Talk Based off the Same Message

So We Might Die to Sin

An Original Work / April 11, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Spiritual Sacrifices Acceptable to God

as living stones

Sue Love

“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:4-5 NASB1995)

I am amazed continually at how many people these days are believing that faith in Jesus Christ is just forgiveness of all sins and the promise of eternity with God in heaven when they die, based solely on a verbal profession of faith in Jesus Christ, with no death to sin and no walks of obedience to our Lord and to his commands required of them. And they believe that their profession of faith in Jesus Christ now gives them a new identity in Christ which overcomes all of their deliberate and habitual acts of sin against God.

Yet, all throughout the New Testament Scriptures we are taught by Jesus Christ and by his New Testament apostles that faith in Jesus Christ, if it is genuine biblical faith, must result in self-denial, death to sin, and walks of obedience to God and to his commands in surrender of our lives to him. And we are taught that if we profess that Jesus is our Lord but we don’t do what he says, but sin and disobedience to God are what we practice, that we don’t have forgiveness of sins, and we don’t have eternal life with God.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Acts 26:18]

But what does this passage of Scripture teach us? If we are those of genuine biblical faith in the Lord Jesus, which is gifted to us by God, and which is persuaded of God, and which is not of our own doing, so we don’t get to make it up to please the flesh, then we are living stones being built up as a spiritual house for a HOLY priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ. We are the body of Christ, his church, for the purpose of honoring God with our lives and for spreading the truth of the gospel.

For to be holy means to be different from (unlike the) world of sin because, by faith in Jesus Christ, we are now being transformed by God into the likeness of character of Jesus Christ, as we cooperate fully with his work of grace in our lives and we do what he says we must do, as his followers. And to be a “holy priesthood” has to do with us being ministers to one another within the body of Christ in encouraging one another in our walks of faith in obedience to our Lord, and it includes us praying for one another, too.

And the spiritual sacrifices that we are to offer up to God are those of humble and contrite hearts, in denying self, dying to sin, and following Jesus Christ in obedience to his commands. It is in giving our lives to God to be his to be used for his purposes and for his glory in being his servants and his messengers, in ministering to one another within the body of Christ, and in taking the message of the gospel of Christ to the people of the world. But we should make sure that “the gospel” we are spreading is the true gospel.

And collectively we are the church, the only true church, the universal body of believers in Jesus Christ who have died with Christ to sin and who are now walking in obedience to our Lord and to his commands in holy living. And all of us are necessary to the proper working of this body of Christ. And so God has assigned us all our body parts (our ministries), and he has gifted us with Spiritual gifts to be used within the body of Christ to minister to one another in encouraging one another to live holy lives, pleasing to Jesus Christ.

For by God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness in walks of obedience to God’s commands. We are no longer to permit sin to reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, it results in death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it results in sanctification, and its end is eternal life with God (see Romans 6:1-23).

Fit for Service

An Original Work / October 5, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Holy Spirit, come within us.

Cleanse our hearts,

and from sin free us.

Make us holy vessels fit

for service to the King.

Fill us with Your love and power.

Anoint us within this hour

To be living witnesses

For Jesus Christ, our King.

Our praise to Him bring.

Father God, our heart’s desire,

Come and speak to us in power.

Revive our hearts to obey You;

Live for You always.

May we love and serve You only,

Walking with You;

Not a phony.

May we always tell the truth,

And show integrity.

Your true servants be.

Jesus, Savior, sanctify us.

Purify our hearts within us;

Be transformed into Your likeness,

Holy unto You.

May we always listen to You

Speaking Your words

Now within us.

May we heed Your counsel to us;

Follow You today.

Do all that You say.

Spiritual Sacrifices Acceptable to God

An Original Work / April 11, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

In Action and Truth

Practicing Sin

Sue Love

Practicing Sin

1 John 3:4-10 ESV

“Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

If sinning against God is our habit, our custom, our way of living, our routine or ritual, i.e. our normal practice, then we are not truly born again of the Spirit of God, for the Word of God teaches us that if we walk in sin we will die in our sins, not have eternal life with God in heaven. This is not saying we will never sin again (See: 1 John 2:1-2), but that if we make sinning against God our practice, and if we don’t make righteousness our practice, then we don’t truly know God, we are not abiding in Him, and we don’t have the hope of eternal life with God in heaven when we leave this earth.

Yet, many people today are preaching and teaching that we can believe in Jesus, and have the hope of heaven when we die, by a mere profession of faith in Christ which requires no repentance, no obedience, no submission to Christ or his cross, no death to sin and no living to righteousness. Please know that this is a BOLD FACED LIE! Scripture contradicts that notion all throughout the New Testament.

These who teach this false grace gospel, which requires no death to sin or living to righteousness, but allows for a continual practice of sin in one’s life, are charmers, deceivers, manipulators and liars whose goal it is to deceive and to pull people away from genuine faith in Jesus Christ. And, what they teach are lies which they concocted, but which have no scriptural backing to them whatsoever. So, they pull scriptures out of context to support their lies, and they say what people’s itching ears want to hear, and so many people listen to them and follow them in their deceitful scheming.

These teachers of this false gospel and their messages are full of pride, moral and spiritual indifference, lies, deceptions, fakery, and hypocrisy, while they give credence in their own lives, and in the lives of their followers, to sinful habits (the practice of sin) and to lying excuses for why they continue in those sinful practices, or why they feel at liberty to do so. Oftentimes they blame others for their continued sin or even blame Jesus Christ, as though it is His responsibility to make sure they don’t sin.

But, Jesus did his part. He made the way for us to be free from our slavery to sin, and he has given us everything we need to live godly and holy lives, pure lives in him, pleasing to him. We are not puppets on a string which he makes do whatever it is he wants us to do. We have a choice whether to obey him or not; whether to submit to him and to yield to his Lordship, or whether to go our own way and keep on living in sin. So, we have no one to blame but ourselves if we choose to keep making sin our practice, and to not love our brothers and sisters, as a result of those practices, and thus to not have fellowship with God, and to not have heaven as our eternal home.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Acts 26:18]

When in The Stillness

An Original Work / September 26, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

When in the stillness of this moment,

Speak to me, Lord, I humbly pray.

Be my desire, set me on fire,

Teach me to love always.

Help me to walk in fellowship with You,

Listening to You; sit at Your feet.

Whisper Your words to me,

Oh, how gently, guiding me in Your truth.

While we are waiting for Your blessing,

Lord, in our hearts be King today.

Help us to live for you ev’ry moment,

List’ning to what You say.

May we not stray from your word within us,

Help us obey You, Lord, in all things,

Walking each moment, Lord, in Your presence,

Our offerings to You bring.

Help us to love You, Lord, our master;

Be an example of Your love,

Helping the hurting, lift up the fallen,

Showing them Your great love.

Teach them to love You, follow You always,

Bearing their cross and turning from sin;

Walking in daily fellowship with You,

Making You Lord and King.

In Action and Truth, Practicing Sin

An Original Work / April 7, 2018

Reposted on April 10, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Tribulations For Our Good

they produce perseverance and..

Sue Love

“And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5 NASB1995)

We, as followers of Jesus Christ, are not promised that life will go easy for us. We are not promised that we will not have trials and tribulations. In fact, we are promised the opposite of that. Jesus and his New Testament apostles promised us that we would be hated and persecuted like Jesus was, and that we will suffer, and that some of us will be put to death for our walks of faith, and that we will be falsely accused of wrongdoing, falsely imprisoned on erroneous charges, and beaten and left for dead, like the apostle Paul was.

And we will be treated as Jesus was treated by the religious authorities of his day, and by the same types of people of our day. For if we take seriously the truth of the Scriptures, taught in the correct biblical context, to teach them to others, and to follow them in practice, by example, and so we call sin what it is, and so we teach the necessity of death to sin and of obeying our Lord and his commands, as part of faith which saves, we will be rejected. We will be cast aside as unwanted, ignored, and/or falsely accused of wrong.

And with regards to the warnings in the Scriptures in reference to the last days, and the kinds of things which will take place, if we are at all observant, we have to realize that we are living in those last days, and there is a very real possibility that things could come crashing down upon us all very soon, and our lives as we now know them could quickly go in a completely different direction. The signs of the times are everywhere we look now. And we should never presume that tomorrow is guaranteed to any of us.

And just because things get much harder, and more difficult, and more complicated, is no reason for us to “jump ship,” i.e. to run away from it all. Now we should run away from the things that God tells us to run away from, such as sin, and temptation to sin. And we should depart from partnerships with what is evil and wicked and against God so that we do not partake with others in their sin. But when the Lord says to stay and to tough it out and to learn from our trials, we need to obey God. For he knows what we need.

For trials and tribulations, although painful, are for our ultimate good, to mature us in our walks of faith in obedience to our Lord, to train us in perseverance, and to transform us in character to be more like Jesus. For do you remember what God told Paul when he prayed for deliverance from his “thorn in the flesh” (which was not a sinful habit)? He told him that God’s grace was sufficient for him, for power is perfected in weakness. So Paul decided to be content with weakness, for in his weakness he was strong.

[Matthew 5:10-12; Matthew 7:13-14; Matthew 10:16-39; Matthew 24:9-14; Luke 6:22-23; Luke 12:49-53; Luke 21:12-17; right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” (Romans 5:6-10 NASB1995)

Not one of us, in our flesh, is deserving of God’s grace, his salvation, his forgiveness of sin, and eternal life with God. All of us are born into this world in the image of Adam, the first man God created, and the first man to sin against God. We are all born in sin, with sin natures, separate from God, and unable within our own selves to be acceptable to God. No amount of our own fleshly works will earn us salvation. It is a gift from God none of us deserves.

But the gift is not just a handout that we receive by a mere verbal profession of Jesus as Lord. For in Jesus’ death on that cross he put our sins to death with him, and he rose from the grave victorious over sin and hell so that by God-gifted and God-persuaded faith in him we will now die to sin and live for God in walks of obedience to his commands, in surrender to his will, by the grace of God, and in the power of God, as being led by the Spirit of God.

[Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 3:9-26; Romans 5:12-19; Romans 6:1-23; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22,42-49; Ephesians 2:1-3,8-10]

For to be reconciled to God means that we change so that we are not the same people we were before, living like we did before, but we are now new creations in Christ Jesus created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. For we have, by faith in Jesus, exchanged the old life of sin for the new life in Christ so that sin is no longer our practice but obedience to God and to his commands is how we now live, by his grace and in his power.

And this is not to say that we will be perfect in every way from that moment forward, or that we will never sin again (see 1 John 2:1-2), but that sin should no longer be what we practice, by habit, in lifestyle. And obedience to God and to his commands is to be what we practice and live by as a matter of life course. For Jesus’ reconciling us to God is not all on him. We have to cooperate with God’s work of grace for us to be truly reconciled to God.

[John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10]

For By Grace

Based off Ephesians 2:8-10, An Original Work / January 27, 2012, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

For by grace we’ve been saved

Of all our sins,

So that with Christ Jesus

Our lives begin.

Cleansing us from sin,

He made pure within

All who trust in Him

As their Savior, friend,

So that with Christ Jesus

Our lives begin.

We’ve been saved through faith;

This not from ourselves,

Lest that we should boast

In our fleshly works.

Our salvation is

A gift from our God,

Who loves us so much

That He gave His Son

To die on the cross

For all of our sins.

So repent of all

Of your sins today,

And He’ll forgive you;

Wipe your sins away.

Obey all of His

Teachings given you,

So that you can walk

With Him now in truth;

So that you can walk

With Him now in truth.

While We Were Yet Sinners

An Original Work / April 10, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

We Are God's House

the body of Christ

Sue Love

“But Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called ‘Today,’ so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:6-13 NASB1995)

We who believe in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of our lives, who have denied self, died to sin, been reborn of the Spirit, who are now living for the Lord in obedience to his commands, as a matter of life practice, in the power of God, we are the “house of God.” We are his building. We are the temple of God. We are the church. Not one single physical building existing today is the church, the house of God, and the temple of God where God dwells. The church is not a building, it is not a physical location, and it is not somewhere that we go to once or twice a week. We the people of God are the church.

If we are faithful to God, and we serve the Lord Jesus with our lives, as his church, as his body, this is not dependent on us attending “church services” at a local assembly of people in a building called “church.” Especially in the times in which we now live, at least in the USA where I live, so much of what is called “Church” are businesses incorporated under the state, merged and joined with the state in unholy unions, not of God, who are marketing “the church” to the people of the world, and so they pattern their gatherings after the world in order to attract the world to their gatherings, not of God.

But we, as the body of Christ, are to gather together for mutual spiritual encouragement and exhortation, for the spiritual nourishment and maturity of the body of believers in Jesus Christ. We, as the body of Christ, are to be encouraging one another in our walks of faith in obedience to our Lord daily so that none of us will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. And we are to be speaking the truth of God’s Word to one another in love so that none of us will believe the lies of those who are teaching a diluted gospel which tickles itching ears and leaves people still entrapped in sinful addiction.

But for our gatherings to be of God, and led by the Holy Spirit, to where each body part has a part in the mutual encouragement and edification of the body, as a whole, where God can use us in our spiritual gifts and ministries, chosen by God for us, in service to him, these gatherings need to be outside the walls of these institutional “churches” which are being led by marketing schemes on how to draw in large crowds of people from the world. For the purpose of our gatherings is so that we can stir up one another to love and good works, to encourage us in our obedience to God.

So, we should meet in each other’s homes where we can each have a part in the strengthening and encouragement of the body of Christ in our walks of obedience to our Lord in holy living. But this needs to be led by the Spirit and not by some marketing tool or some prefabricated lesson written by someone else which does not permit us to do as the Scriptures teach we must do in our gatherings for our mutual encouragement and edification. Or we should get on the internet and share with one another what the Lord is teaching us from his word for our mutual edification and encouragement.

[Acts 2:14-18,42-47; Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 1 Corinthians 14:1-5; Galatians 6:1; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:1-16; Ephesians 5:15-21; Ephesians 6:10-20; Philippians 2:1-8; Colossians 3:12-16; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:23-25; James 5:19-20]

Send a Revival

An Original Work / June 25, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Send a revival to this nation, Lord, I pray.

Bring us to our knees, Lord, humbly today.

Teach us to daily walk in your footsteps.

Guide us in your truth, and may we find rest.

Send a revival to this nation, Lord, I pray.

Bring us to our knees, Lord, humbly today.

Be our desire and our hearts’ pure devotion, Lord.

Make us a people who walk close to you.

Change our hearts to conform to your likeness.

May we love others who are in distress.

Be our desire and our hearts’ pure devotion, Lord.

Make us a people who walk close to you.

Teach us to be an example of your love, Lord.

May we serve others as though serving you.

Keep us in fellowship with you, I pray.

May we obey you in all things today.

Teach us to be an example of your love, Lord.

May we serve others as though serving you.

We Are God’s House

An Original Work / April 9, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

A Merciful and Faithful High Priest

Jesus Christ our Lord

Sue Love

“Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:17-18 NASB1995)

This is speaking of Jesus Christ. He is God, the second person of our triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He always existed with God the Father, and he is our creator God. But even though he was and is God, he willingly left his throne in heaven, came to earth, and was born as a baby to a virgin woman, conceived of the Holy Spirit. And while he lived on the earth he was fully human and fully God (God incarnate). And he suffered in the same ways as we do, and he was tempted in like manner as we are also tempted. But he was not born with a sin nature as we are, and he never once sinned.

[John 1:1-36; John 8:24,58; John 10:30-33; John 20:28-29; Romans 9:5; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 2:9; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:1-12; 1 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Peter 1:1]

Because Jesus Christ was human, and he lived in a flesh body, as we do, and so he suffered like we suffer, and he was tempted in like manner as we are also tempted, he is able to sympathize with us in our weaknesses, and he is able to come to the aid of those who are being tempted. But sympathizing is not being tolerant of sin, and it is not pacifying sin, and it does not make excuses for deliberate and habitual sin against God. Yes, he can feel what we feel, but he did not sin. Yet in his death he took upon himself the sins of the world so that in his death he might put our sins to death with him.

And he put our sins to death with him on that cross so that, by faith in him, which is gifted to us by God, we might die to sin and now live for God and for his righteousness in walks of obedience to his commands, in the power of God. And because he was tempted in like manner as we are tempted, yet without sin, he is able to help us who are tempted to not sin but to obey God and his commands. We just have to be willing to accept his help and to follow his lead and to not make excuses for habitual and deliberate sin. We have to want to be free from sin’s control, and he will set us free.

Some of us who were abused as children, by one parent or the other, adopted a wrong concept about God, about Jesus Christ, because of the distorted view of Christianity we had fed to us. I know that I had this concept of God as my sympathizer, and as my comforter, but as someone who could not rescue me. I even said to him one time, “But God, you don’t understand!” And it was because he had not rescued me from the abuse of those who mistreated me, who did me wrong. So I ended up believing that man had control over me that God could do nothing about. I was wrong!

What I did not grasp was the sovereignty of God over my life, and that God allows us to suffer, to be mistreated, and to go through trials and tribulations to test our faith, to make us strong, to mature us in our walks of faith in obedience to him, and to make us into the people of God he wants us to be. He never promised us an easy life. He never said we would not have to suffer. He said we would be hated and mistreated for the sake of our faith and for the sake of the gospel, but that he would be our support, and he would be our strength, and he would help us to conquer Satan’s attacks.

[Matthew 5:10-12; Matthew 10:16-25,34-39; Matthew 24:9-14; Luke 6:22-23; Luke 12:49-53; Luke 21:12-17; John 15:18-21; John 16:33; Acts 14:22; Romans 5:3-5; Ephesians 6:10-20; Philippians 3:7-11; 1 Peter 1:6-7; 1 Peter 4:12-17; 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5; James 1:2-4; 2 Corinthians 1:3-11; Hebrews 12:3-12; Revelation 6:9-11; Revelation 7:9-17; Revelation 11:1-3; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 13:1-18; Revelation 14:1-13]

Why So Downcast?

Based off Psalm 42, An Original Work / December 21, 2012, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Why so downcast, O my soul,

And why so disturbed now within me?

Put your hope in Jesus Christ,

For I will praise His name.

He’s my Savior and my God,

So therefore I’ll remember Him through

Storms and tempests sweeping o’er me.

Still I’ll praise His name.

Put your hope in God.

By day the Lord sends forth His love.

In the night His song is with me.

I pray to the God of my life.

I will praise His name. But please understand that this doesn’t happen just in person, physical body to physical body, but it can happen just in the mind and in the heart, and it can take place with one person preferring sexual relations with oneself in place of the natural affections between a man and a woman, too.

But we should not single out homosexuals as though they are evil people to be hated and cursed and mistreated. We should treat homosexuals the same as we do heterosexuals, with the same love and grace of God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. For multitudes of heterosexuals are engaged in sexual idolatry and adultery via what is stored up in their own minds, and via what all they do with those memories, and via the viewing of movies, TV shows, and videos of a sensual and sexual nature, and via self-stimulation, and via adulterous and idolatrous relationships outside of marriage, etc.

So, when you see someone who is clearly homosexual, do not treat them differently than you treat the heterosexual. Love them as Jesus loved all of us and gave himself up for us on that cross to deliver us out of our slavery to sin so we can now serve him with our lives. But Jesus didn’t ignore the sins of the people. He did not pamper them in their sins to make them feel good so that they would like him and not hate him. He spoke the truth to the people, spoken in love, and he called sin what it was, and he warned of God’s judgements on all who refused God and his commandments.

And if we love the people of this world, as Jesus loved us and gave his life up for us so we could walk in freedom from sin, in obedience to God, then we will not pamper them in their sin. We will not give approval to their sin. We will love them as Jesus loved us and gave himself up for us, but we will pray for them, and we will speak the truth of the gospel of Christ to them, and we will let them know that any kind of sexual deviancy is sin against God, and that those who make sin their practice, and not obedience to God, will not inherit eternal life with God, even if they give lip service to the Lord.

For in Jesus’ death on that cross he put our sins to death with him so that, by God-persuaded faith in him, we will now die to sin and live for God in walks of surrender to his will in obedience to his commands in holy living. And that is the ultimate in love! And in his life he taught that if anyone would come after him he must deny self, die to sin daily (by the Spirit), and walk (in conduct) in obedience to his commands. For if sin is what we practice, and not obedience to God, we will not inherit eternal life with God, but we will spend eternity in eternal separation from God in eternal torment.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

Listen! And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2 NIV)

Justified

What does it mean to be justified? It means to be made righteous, to be conformed to a proper standard, which is God’s standard for how we ought to live as followers of Jesus Christ. And to be righteous is to be morally pure, upright, honorable, faithful, honest, decent, and obedient to God, in practice, by the grace of God, and in the power of God, which is not of our own flesh. For it refers to what is deemed right by the Lord, what is approved in his eyes. Justification is to show what is right, and to be cleared of all charges.

Faith

And what is faith? It is belief, fidelity, moral conviction, and faithfulness. And it is divine persuasion, the persuasion of God as to his righteousness and holiness, and of our sinfulness, and of our need to deny self, die to sin, and follow our Lord in obedience to his commands in holy living, by the grace of God, in the power of God. For this faith comes from God, it is authored by God, it is gifted to us by God, and it is persuaded of God, and it is not of our own doing, but it is something we must put into practice, by God’s grace.

[Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 12:1-2; John 1:12-13; John 6:44; Acts 26:18]

Peace

And what is this peace with God being spoken of here? It is wholeness, fullness, and completeness. It has to do with us being joined together with Christ, united with him by faith in him, no longer separate (apart) from God, but now joined with him in unity of heart, mind, purpose, and action. We are now in Christ by faith in him, and he is in us by his Spirit. And we are at peace because our trust is now in our Lord and not in ourselves, and because we know God has all things under his control. So we trust him.

Grace

And what is this grace of God in which we are to be standing? Well, the grace of God, which is gifted to us by God, is training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for our Lord’s return. God’s grace is what sent Jesus Christ to the cross to put our sins to death with him, and to be raised from the dead, so we can now die to sin and obey God, in practice. For it is God’s purpose that we no longer walk in sin but in obedience to him.

[Titus 2:11-14; Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 6:1-23]

God’s Glory

And so we exult (rejoice) in the hope (faith, anticipation, expectation) of the glory (honor, praise, worship, and intrinsic worth) of Almighty God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit – the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our God always was, and always will be. And he is absolutely holy and righteous in all that he does. And he is the one who formed us in the wombs of our mothers. And he is the one who made salvation from sin possible for all of us who put our faith and hope in him to deliver us out of sin.

And Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.” (Galatians 5:16-18 NASB1995)

If we are walking by the Spirit, what should that look like in our lives? Well, our walks have to do with our lifestyles, what we believe and what we do and how we live in daily practice. So if our walks are by the Spirit, and not according to the flesh, then how we live should be in agreement with the teachings of the Scriptures, as taught primarily by Jesus Christ and by his New Testament apostles, and as taught to those who are of faith in Jesus Christ. We should be living holy lives, pleasing to God, in walks of obedience to our Lord’s commands, and sin should no longer be what we practice.

Now this passage of Scripture in the book of Galatians is primarily dealing with the topic of the Old Covenant Law and how a group of people called the Judaizers were trying to convince the Christians that they still had to hold to some of the Old Covenant Law requirements, such as liturgical, ceremonial, circumcision, dietary, and Sabbath laws. And Paul was making a case that, as followers of Christ, we are not under the Old Covenant Law. But he also made a case for the fact that, under grace, we are not free to live as we please, for if sin is what we practice, we will not inherit eternal life with God.

“Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21 NASB1995)

So, just because we make verbal professions of faith in Jesus Christ, and we claim Jesus as our Lord, it does not guarantee us salvation from all sin and heaven as our eternal destiny, if we do not deny self, die to sin, and obey God in practice, by his grace and in his power. For just because we claim Jesus as our Lord, it does not mean we are guaranteed entry into his heavenly kingdom. For it is the ones obeying God in practice, and who are not making sin their practice, who have salvation from sin and eternal life with God, as long as they continue in their walks of faith until the end.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:22-24 NASB1995)

So, if we are of biblical faith in Christ, and thus we have been crucified with Christ in death to sin, and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and to his righteousness, the outgrowth of that faith should be shown in our lives in what is described for us above. We should be walking in the love of Christ which prefers what God prefers. And God prefers what is holy, righteous, godly, morally pure, upright, honest, faithful, and obedient to God. And we should be living self-controlled lives in the power of God, by faith in Christ.

And peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and gentleness are not qualities which are soft on sin and tolerant of sinful habits in the lives of those professing faith in Jesus Christ. For it is not kind or loving to be soft on sin and to lie to people to make them feel good and to tell them that their sins no longer matter to God now that they have “believed” in Jesus. There is nothing kind about ignoring sinful addictions in the lives of those professing the name of Jesus, for if sin is what they practice, and not obedience to God, they will not inherit eternal life with God. So kindness speaks truth in love.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

Myopic

Based off 2 Peter 1:3-11, An Original Work / August 19, 2013, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Jesus has given ev’rything

Needed for life and godliness.

His great and precious promises

Free us from our sin and distress.

Add to your faith His goodness;

Knowledge; patience; godliness;

Brotherly love and mutual affection;

Kindness and unselfishness.

If you possess these qualities,

Growing in your maturity,

They will keep you from vanity.

You will bear fruit effectually.

Nonetheless, if you lack them;

Forget you’ve been cleansed from sin,

Nearsighted are you; you can’t see Jesus.

You have closed your heart to Him.

Therefore, beloved, confirm, then,

Your calling and your election.

Do this by showing diligence:

Obey your Lord; be repentant.

Practice all these qualities

God provided on a tree.

He died for our sins so we’d be given

Life with Him eternally.

Walking by The Spirit

An Original Work / April 7, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

We are All One in Christ

Jew and Gentile one people in Christ by faith in Jesus Christ

Sue Love

“Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.” (Galatians 3:16,26-29 NASB1995)

In the eyes of God, we humans who live on the earth are no longer divided as Jew (God’s people) and Gentile (not God’s people). For when Jesus Christ gave his life up for us all on that cross, he put to death the hostility that stood between Jew and Gentile and he made us both one people, one nation under God, via biblical faith in Jesus Christ. All who do not believe in Jesus Christ are not God’s people, but they can become God’s people. For by faith in Jesus Christ they can be grafted into the vine (into Israel, God’s people). And all who believe in Jesus Christ are now biblical Israel, the Israel of God.

Therefore, if someone calls themselves a “Messianic Jew,” that is not biblical, for that is still separating themselves from Christians who are not born Jewish. And Jesus took away that division between Jew and Gentile on the cross and he made us one people, one nation, one holy people of God via genuine biblical faith in Jesus Christ, regardless of national or biological heritage. For when Jesus lived on the earth he said, “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd” (John 10:16).

For it is not all who are descended from Israel who belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his physical offspring. It is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise. And if we belong to Christ, through biblical faith in Christ, then we are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. For those formerly called Gentiles are now fellow heirs with those formerly called Jews via faith in Jesus Christ. We are members of the same body, and partakers together of the promise in Jesus Christ through the gospel. We are now Christians.

So, the physical nation called “Israel,” seemingly comprised primarily of people of Jewish heritage (although not all), is not God’s holy nation. They are not the chosen of God to inherit the promise God made to Abraham and to his seed (namely Christ). They are a political nation chosen of men for the purposes of men. And, as a whole, they do not believe in Jesus Christ. And whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah), such a person is the antichrist, denying the Father and the Son (Jesus Christ) (see 1 John 2:22). Therefore, they do not believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

So, please understand that biblical Israel, the Israel of God, is comprised of all who are of genuine biblical faith in Jesus Christ, and no other. All Jews and all Gentiles (by national or biological heritage) who are of faith in Jesus Christ are one people, one nation, the only true biblical Israel of God. There is no longer a separation between Jew and Gentile (non-Jew), for we are one people in Christ by faith in Christ Jesus, or else we are antichrist. And only a remnant of Jews will be saved by faith in Jesus Christ. For “all Israel” is all Jews and all Gentiles who are now one people by faith in our Lord Jesus.

See: [Genesis 17:7-9; Genesis 18:19; Matthew 21:43; John 8:18-19,38-47; Romans 2:28-29; Romans 9:4-8; Romans 11:17-25; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Galatians 3:16,26-29; Galatians 4:22-31; Ephesians 2:11-22; Ephesians 3:6; Colossians 3:12-15; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-16; Hebrews 8:6-13; 1 Peter 2:9-10; 1 John 2:22; Jude 1:5; Revelation 2:9; Revelation 3:9]

When in The Stillness

An Original Work / September 26, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

When in the stillness of this moment,

Speak to me, Lord, I humbly pray.

Be my desire, set me on fire,

Teach me to love always.

Help me to walk in fellowship with You,

Listening to You; sit at Your feet.

Whisper Your words to me,

Oh, how gently, guiding me in Your truth.

While we are waiting for Your blessing,

Lord, in our hearts be King today.

Help us to live for you ev’ry moment,

List’ning to what You say.

May we not stray from your word within us,

Help us obey You, Lord, in all things,

Walking each moment, Lord, in Your presence,

Our offerings to You bring.

Help us to love You, Lord, our master;

Be an example of Your love,

Helping the hurting, lift up the fallen,

Showing them Your great love.

Teach them to love You, follow You always,

Bearing their cross and turning from sin;

Walking in daily fellowship with You,

Making You Lord and King.

We are All One in Christ

An Original Work / April 7, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

No Longer I Who Live

but Christ lives in me

Sue Love

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” (Galatians 2:20 NASB1995)

If I have been crucified with Christ so that I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, this means that I (me in my flesh) have been put to death with him. Not physically, but spiritually speaking, my flesh, my sin nature, by faith in Jesus Christ, has been put to death so that I might now live for God in obedience to his commands in holy living and no longer for the sinful desires of the flesh. The old me has been done away with so that I may now serve the Lord with my life and no longer live for the sinful desires of the flesh.

Jesus Christ is not just an add on to my present life, but he becomes my life. My life now belongs to him and is no longer under sin’s control. And this is not to say that I will never sin again (1 John 2:1-2) but that sin should no longer have dominion over my life. And now Jesus Christ should be Lord and Master of my life. For if Christ lives in me and I no longer live, that means that I should be letting him live out his life through me and my flesh should no longer be in control over my life, all by faith in Jesus Christ.

But this does not make me perfect, for I still live in a flesh body. But lack of perfection should never be used as an excuse ever for deliberate and habitual sin. For if truly we have died with Christ to sin, and we have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as servants of God and of his righteousness, then sin should no longer be our practice. Our lives must now be surrendered to God to doing his will in his power at work in our lives (see Romans 6:1-23).

But this is not something that we do in our own flesh to try to win “brownie points” (favor) with God via our own fleshly “good deeds.” The works of the flesh, and going through religious rituals and customs, will not earn us favor with God. What God is looking for is for us to deny self, die to sin, and follow him in obedience to his commands in holy living, by the grace of God, in the power of God. He wants our all on the altar, surrendered to doing his will his way, all in his power (see Matthew 7:21-23 and Luke 9:23-26).

For the grace of God is not a “get out of jail free card” which gives us permission to keep living in deliberate and habitual sin without conscience. God’s grace, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we await our Lord’s return. For Jesus died to deliver us out of our slavery to sin so we will now serve him with our lives in walks of obedience to his commands (see Titus 2:11-14 and 1 John 1,2,&3).

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

To Be Like Him

Based off Scripture, An Original Work / March 16, 2014, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Crucified you are with Jesus.

To be like Him, oh, you’ll be,

Because He died at Calv’ry,

So from sin you’d be free.

Oh, what joy He brings into your life,

Giving life with Him endlessly.

Oh, what plans He has for your life.

Share the gospel faithfully.

Show the people He loves them.

Now His witness you’ll be.

Tell the world of sin about Jesus,

How He died for them on a tree.

Purifying hearts, He saves them,

Who believe on Christ, God’s Son.

Turning now from their idols,

New lives they have begun.

Jesus saves from sin; we’re forgiven.

Over sin, the vict’ry He won!

When He comes again to take us

To be with Him evermore,

There will be no more crying.

Gladness will be in store.

Heavens joys will now overtake us:

We’ll be with our Lord evermore.

No Longer I Who Live

An Original Work / April 7, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

The One Who Practices Sin

is not born of God

Sue Love

“Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.” (1 John 3:4-10 NASB1995)

The first thing I want to state here is that this is not teaching that we will never sin or that if we do sin at all that we will lose our salvation (see 1 John 2:1-2). It is also not teaching that we can never fall back into sin and need to repent of our sins (to leave our lives of sin behind us) and to be renewed in our walks of faith, in obedience to our Lord (Hebrews 3:13; Galatians 6:1; James 5:19-20; Revelation 2:1-29; and Revelation 3:1-22). It is teaching what is taught all throughout the New Testament that those who walk in sin, who do not obey God in practice, are not born of God. They are not saved.

So, if you make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, that is not the totality of the gospel message. You need to read all of the book of Romans and all of the New Testament teachings on what it means to believe in Jesus Christ.

For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God the Father who is in heaven (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

And the apostle Paul taught that by God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness in walks of obedience to God’s commands. We are no longer to permit sin to reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, it results in death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it results in sanctification, and its end is eternal life with God (see Romans 6:1-23).

God’s grace to us is not freedom to keep walking in sin and in disobedience to God’s commands. God’s grace, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for Jesus’ return. For Christ “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared for us to walk in them. (See Titus 2:11-14; Ephesians 2:8-10)

Therefore, if sin is what we practice, in lifestyle, in deliberate and habitual sin against God, and if obedience to God and to his commands (New Covenant) is not what we practice, in lifestyle, then we do not have salvation from sin, and we will not inherit eternal life with God. God’s word says.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

Jesus, Rescue Me

Based off of Romans 7:7-25 thru Romans 8:1-39, An Original Work / September 18, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Jesus, rescue me today.

Listen while I bow and pray.

I need Your help to obey You;

Live for You always.

Meet me in my hour of need, Lord,

As I pray to You.

Help me walk in fellowship, Lord,

Living in Your truth.

Jesus, how I long for You to

Change my heart anew.

Father, God, my heart’s desire

Is to live for You this hour

In Your Holy Spirit’s power

Living in me now.

Teach me to walk in Your love, Lord,

Guiding me each day.

Help me to show love and kindness

To the lost, I pray.

Father, teach me to love others

As You love always.

Holy Spirit come in pow’r.

Revive our hearts in this hour.

Change our hearts to be like You, Lord;

Live for You each day.

Help us to forsake our sins, Lord,

As we humbly pray.

Teach us how to live for You, Lord,

Obey You always.

Holy Spirit come in power,

Revive us today.

The One Who Practices Sin

An Original Work / April 6, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Do Not Be Surprised

if the world hates you

Sue Love

“Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (1 John 3:13-16 NASB1995)

What is meant here by “the world”? The world spoken of here is people. But what people? The worldly who do not follow Jesus Christ with their lives in truth and in righteousness, who are still living like the world, still living to please the flesh, even if they profess faith in Jesus Christ. We should not be surprised if we are hated by some who do not honor Christ with their lives. We should not be surprised if even pastors of churches and elders and deacons and other professing Christians persecute, mistreat, detest, abuse, reject, mock, and renounce us because of our walks of faith in our Lord.

For we live in an era where the truth of the gospel is largely being rejected by the masses who are in favor of a diluted and altered “gospel” message which does not put sin to death in the lives of “the believers” but which pacifies them in their sins, instead. Too many people are teaching that faith in Jesus Christ results in us being forgiven of all sin and guaranteed entry into heaven upon death, but regardless of how we live. But Jesus taught that not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the ones doing (obeying) the will of God the Father (Matthew 7:21-23).

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ who takes God and his word seriously, to do what the Word teaches us we must do as followers of Jesus Christ, and to teach what it teaches us, in truth, do not be surprised if you have others who also profess faith in Jesus Christ rejecting you, rebuking you, speaking evil against you, and trying to discredit you and what you are teaching that the Scriptures teach, particularly on the subject of the gospel of Christ. For so many professing Christians have gone the way of the world to where it is barely distinguishable anymore between Christian and non-Christian.

But we who profess faith in Jesus Christ are not to be haters of anyone. We can hate sin. We can hate evil and wickedness. We can hate deception and lies and trickery and all that deceives and misleads. But we are to love people, even the wickedest ones of all. But love is not all the mushy-gushy stuff. It is not all the feel good stuff. For love, which comes from God, speaks the truth of God’s word in love to the people. They may not always see it as love, but speaking truth, as opposed to the lies, is love, if it is said in love in order to help people out of sin to follow Jesus Christ with their lives.

And the Scriptures make it clear that those who hate, who treat others with hate, who mistreat and abuse and misuse others for their own advantage, or out of personal prejudice of some kind, are not those who will inherit eternal life with God. These would be people who lie, cheat, commit adultery, abuse, steal, and trick others, in practice, who are morally impure, by habit, without regard for whom they mistreat and take advantage of. But we who believe in Jesus are to be those who are willing to die for the sake of the salvation of other humans, and thus we speak truth which will save their souls from hell.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10,19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 5:10,15,21; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

Your Heart

An Original Work / October 24, 2011, Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Tenderly He speaks, softly so.

Gently He calls - His will to know.

Won’t you invite Him in your heart?

Humbly accept Him now.

Bow before Him with contrite heart.

May you obey His will.

Seek Him with all your heart and soul,

And your heart, His Spirit fill.

Jesus died to free you from sin,

Giving you new life to begin,

Walking with Him ev’ry hour,

Obeying His commands.

Won’t you trust Him to be your Lord?

His grace you can’t afford.

Freely He gives you peace within,

When you turn from all your sin.

Live for Him ev’ry passing day.

Meet with Him; read His word and pray.

Serve Him in the way He leads you,

Doing all that He says.

Do unto others as you would

Have them do unto you.

Love them with Jesus love within you.

Your hearts to God be true.

Do Not Be Surprised

An Original Work / April 6, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love

Having These Promises

let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement

Sue Love

“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1 NASB1995)

What promises are being referred to here? What was said right before this?

“Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 NASB1995)

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are not to be partners (united, partakers) with the ungodly, with those who are not of genuine biblical faith in Jesus Christ. And the ungodly includes many people who profess faith in Jesus Christ but who have not denied self and died to sin, and who are not living for Christ in walks of obedience to his commands. But they are still living to please the flesh, still walking in sin, and they are not walking in obedience to God and to his commands. And they are making their own plans and are not following the ways of the Lord that he has for all of us to follow.

And this includes today’s “institutional church” which is unified (partnered, merged) with the world and with the ungodly via incorporating under the state as businesses which then are being marketed to the people of the world. For God forbids this. He forbids such unions as this, and he forbids turning his church, his temple, into a marketplace. And he is calling his people to come out from among such relationships as this so that they do not share in their sins, so they do not share in their punishment, and so God will receive them as his sons and daughters and he will dwell among them.

[Matthew 21:12-13; John 2:13-17; Acts 5:27-32; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 1 Corinthians 3:1-9; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22; Revelation 13:5-8; Revelation 18:1-5]

So, we need to take this seriously. For if we want to be the people of God, born again of the Spirit of God, forgiven our sins, and on our way to heaven, we need to be those who, by faith in Jesus Christ, and in his power at work within us, have cleansed ourselves of all defilement of flesh and spirit. We need to be those who, by God-persuaded and God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, have denied self, died to sin, and who are now living to obey our Lord and his commands. We need to be those who are perfecting holiness in the fear of God, by the Spirit, in the power of God, according to the will of God.

And this does not make us perfect. And this does not mean that we will never sin (1 John 2:1-2). What it all comes down to, as taught by Jesus and by his New Testament apostles, is that those of us who are of genuine faith in Jesus Christ must be those who, in the power of God, are denying self, dying to sin, and following our Lord in obedience, as a matter of life practice. We must be those who are listening to what the Scriptures teach us that we must do and not do, as those who claim to be in fellowship with God. And then we must stop doing what is evil, and we must be living to please God.

For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For by God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness. We must no longer permit sin to reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, it results in death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it results in sanctification, and its end is eternal life with God.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Acts 26:18]

My Desire

By Lillian Plankenhorn

My desire, to be like Jesus

My desire, to be like Him.

His Spirit fill me, His love o’erwhelm me;

In deed and word, to be like Him.

Having These Promises

An Original Work / April 5, 2026

Christ’s Free Servant, Sue J Love
